Architectural recruitment specialist urban, leading architectural practice Karakusevic Carson Architects and inclusion charity Blueprint for All, are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to take on a Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeship.
This opportunity incorporates a paid architectural job position, and your Part II and Part III architectural qualifications all in one. It is a great new initiative to help you earn while you learn.
Employed by Karakusevic Carson Architects, you will attend London South Bank University one day a week over a period of four years. This will allow you to gain the qualification required to move from Part I to ARB registered architect. With your university fees fully paid by urban, and Karakusevic Carson Architects paying you a full-time salary, you can put your academic learning into practise immediately in a supportive, award-winning environment.
This apprenticeship collaboration is open to 2020 or 2021 BA Architecture graduates. Our aim is to take positive action towards racial inclusion and increasing minority representation within the architectural industry, therefore to be eligible, you must come from a Black, Asian or other ethnic minority background.
According to the Architects Registration Board, only 1% of UK registered architects come from minority backgrounds. Looking at this figure against a UK population representation of 20%, it’s clear more can be done. urban, Karakusevic Carson and Blueprint for All, are demonstrating their commitment to equality through this unique cross-industry collaboration, making the opportunity to become a fully qualified architect more accessible to all.
To apply, please forward your CV and portfolio to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are welcoming applications until 14 July 2021, at which point we will invite you to interview with the Karakusevic Carson Architects and Blueprint for All teams.
Regardless of success, we will offer all applicants the opportunity to join our award-winning #BeMoreInclusive programme and provide support in finding a role at Part I year out, or Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeship, so what are you waiting for? Apply now!
