Long established leading design firm in NYC who offer full scope integrated design services for retail, workplace and commercial projects are recruiting for a Studio Director.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in and facilitate the development, growth and continued success of a talented team of Designers, Architects and Project Managers.

Working at both a strategic level and a ‘hands-on’ capacity; the responsibilities will include programming and overseeing the design team across all studio projects. Providing design direction from concept through construction phases, this professional should have a wealth of experience (10-15 years) as a Designer or an Architect with relevant qualifications and certifications.

Tasked with reporting into key stakeholders and working closely with Design Principals, this professional will be responsible for nurturing a positive, team-oriented environment, ensuring financial goals and deadlines are being met, and assisting the office leader in business development. This includes hiring and strategic planning, project management, and overall studio growth. Development and mentor-ship of staff from Junior through to Senior levels is an essential element of the role.

The successful individual must demonstrate strong organization and team building aptitude in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills. Showcasing a genuine motivation for creating and maintaining an inclusive, supportive environment.
