A globally acclaimed architect and design firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join the interiors studio team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high end interiors, cultural and commercial projects, as well as proficiency in Revit and NCIDQ certification.

The successful candidate should:

* Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the role of an interior designer, with extensive creative competence
* Have experience leading interior design projects/packages
* Site experience required – following projects from Concept, to SD to Installation
* Possess extensive knowledge of furniture and finishes
* Demonstrate experience of managing and mentoring a team
* Possess excellent design, presentation and graphics skills
* Be passionate about keeping up to date with new developments and design trends in the design industry
* Demonstrate the ability to visualize concepts and confidently explain, and present them to others
* Have the Right To Work in the US

This professional will be responsible for working closely with Global Head of Interiors on the following:

* Processing and developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with project team
* Researching and developing innovative interior environments including concepts, design development and detail design (including visuals, modelling, rendering, technical design documentation)
* Liaising with outside suppliers, contractors and specialists
* Creation of proposals and coordinating purchases and shipment of all items
* Manage FF&E and sourcing to target budgets and timetables
* Maintain communication with the client
* Presenting ideas both internally and externally

* Proactive and can work both on individual tasks and within a project team

* Enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude

* Calm under pressure
* Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-moving environment
* Flexible and able to adapt to deadlines
* Strong Revit and rendering software proficiency, Adobe Suite
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience & Qualifications required:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Architectural or Interior Design Program
* NCIDQ certified
