A small design and architecture studio best known for their outstanding residential projects are now seeking a talented Design Director to lead their team in delivering exceptional projects that blend historic charm with modern functionality. This prestigious studio is known for its commitment to preserving historical structures while incorporating innovative design solutions.
As the Design Director, you will focus on assisting with the management of the interior design delivery for a number of high-end large-scale listed residential projects for a private clients. Your strong design sensibility and leadership skills will be crucial in ensuring the success of their projects.
Responsibilities:
-Lead and inspire the design team ensuring design excellence and adherence to project requirements.
-Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, goals, and requirements for the projects.
-Developing a design, procurement and implementation programme establishing milestones and critical paths
-Oversee all phases of the design process, including concept development, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
-Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables
-Coordinate with external consultants, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
-Agreeing budgets for each interior defining the extent of bespoke, custom and readymade items to ensure good value for money
-Providing critical review of design proposals and space planning to add value
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
-Demonstrated experience (10+ years) industry experience
-Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a design team.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
-Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
