Transport Architect – Rail/Transportation/Infrastructure

Location: New York, NY, USA

Salary Range: $95,000 – $110,000 per annum

Authorization: Full legal authorization to work in New York City, USA

Experience Requirement: 5-10 years of professional experience

Overview: We are seeking a talented Transport Architect with expertise in rail, transportation, and infrastructure projects to join a dynamic team in New York City. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions for transportation-related projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that shape the future of transportation infrastructure in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1 Lead architectural design efforts for rail, transportation, and infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
2 Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners, and stakeholders to develop innovative design solutions that meet project objectives.
3 Conduct site assessments, analyze existing conditions, and develop design strategies that optimize functionality, safety, and aesthetics.
4 Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using Revit software.
5 Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction process.
6 Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and agencies to integrate architectural requirements with other project disciplines.
7 Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design reviews to communicate project progress and solicit feedback.
8 Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on architectural best practices and project execution.
9 Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client relationship management, and marketing initiatives.
10 Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation architecture and design.


1 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
2 5-10 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a focus on rail, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
3 Strong proficiency in Revit software for architectural design and documentation.
4 Experience with MicroStation software is a bonus.
5 Thorough understanding of architectural principles, building systems, and construction techniques related to transportation projects.
6 Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
7 Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8 Familiarity with New York City building codes, zoning regulations, and transit agency standards preferred.
9 AIA licensure or progress toward licensure is desirable but not required.
10 Full legal authorization to work in New York City, USA.
