Job Opportunity: Project Architect
Location: Miami Beach, FL
Are you an experienced Project Architect looking to make a mark in Miami? I’m thrilled to share this opportunity with a long-standing client of mine, a prestigious design and architecture firm recognized for shaping exceptional spaces. They are expanding their Miami office and seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to join their team on iconic projects across multi-family, high-end residential, and amenity-driven interiors.
This is a full-time, on-site position offering $75K – $90K per year, with a chance to grow in a supportive and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of architectural design and construction processes, a knack for leadership, and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead in the preparation of construction documents, interior elevations, wall sections, and project specifications.
* Guide the team in resolving complex technical/design challenges with innovative, constructible solutions.
* Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination and execution of project specifications.
* Oversee construction administration, review RFIs, shop drawings, and manage project documentation.
* Mentor junior team members, manage client communications, and actively participate in all project phases from initial concept to post-occupancy.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and at least 8 years of professional experience in the U.S., including 3+ years with one firm.
* Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (drafting and drawing management skills required); experience with SketchUp or hand sketching is a plus.
* Proven record as a Project Architect on multi-family, mixed-use, hospitality, or high-end residential projects.
* Experience producing NYC/Miami building department drawing sets and construction documentation.
* Knowledge of ADA/FHA, Miami-Dade, New York City, Florida, and International Building Codes.
* Strong organizational, technical, and leadership skills with the flexibility to oversee multiple concurrent projects.
