Principal Designer
Are you an experienced Principal Designer with a passion for Health & Safety in architecture? If you thrive on responsibility, collaboration, and the freedom to deliver impactful results, this role could be the perfect next step in your career.
We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join our London team, overseeing a variety of bespoke architectural projects while driving new business opportunities. With a progressive culture and entrepreneurial approach, this position offers a unique blend of project leadership, client engagement, and team development.
Role Highlights:
As Principal Designer, you will:
* Advise project teams and clients on Health & Safety risk management in line with CDM 2015 regulations.
* Manage and coordinate Health & Safety during the pre-construction phase.
* Provide consistent guidance across projects, ensuring best practices and compliance.
* Prepare and issue Health & Safety files and design risk assessments.
* Deliver in-house training and contribute to developing guidance materials.
* Lead on fee proposals for Principal Designer services.
About You:
Essential:
* A minimum of 10 years’ experience in CDM.
* CMIOSH Chartered Member of IOSH and APS membership.
* Strong understanding of design and construction methodologies.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to manage tasks effectively.
* Resilience, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
* Legal right to work in the UK and eligible for security clearance.
Desirable:
* A degree in architecture, architectural technology, or construction/engineering.
