Job Title: Mid-Weight Designer – High-End Residential (Interior Design & FF&E)

Location: New York

Position Overview: We are seeking an ambitious and talented Mid-Weight Designer to join a prestigious high-end interior design firm, specializing in residential projects. The ideal candidate will be driven, adaptable, and eager to tackle the challenges and tasks of working in a demanding yet rewarding interior design practice. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of innovative projects, supporting our team of designers in various roles while continuously learning and developing your skills. This role requires taking ownership and responsibility for your workload, using your initiative and creativity to solve problems and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:


Assist the design teams in all areas of their projects, including:

* Contributing to concept design and presentation through image sourcing, 3D sketching and modeling, Photoshop editing, and preparing presentation boards and booklets.
* Researching and sourcing lighting, ironmongery, and sanitary ware from new and innovative suppliers/manufacturers. Organizing and distributing supporting technical documentation.
* Researching new materials and finishes, ordering samples, and maintaining the material library.
* Assisting with planning and construction AutoCAD drawings, ranging from master plans to architectural and joinery details.
* Managing paper and electronic filing systems and recording all project documentation.
* Supporting the team during site visits and addressing queries.
* Contributing to the overall wellbeing and productivity of the team.


Demonstrate a natural passion for exceptional design and maintain a high attention to detail in both interior design and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).

Possess a good knowledge of furniture and materials, including where to source them from, to enhance project outcomes.


1 University-level degree in Interior Design or related field.
2 3-6 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on residential projects.
3 Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp.
4 Strong free-hand sketching abilities.
5 Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present ideas to the design team and liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients.
6 Ability to take ownership of tasks and work collaboratively within a team.
7 High level of organization and time management skills to prioritize workload effectively.
8 Legal authorization to work in the specified location.
