Interiors Job Captain / Project Architect

An organization of architects, interior designers and workplace strategists with global reach are recruiting for one of their five studios. There is an immediate need for a stella Interior Designer/Architect to assume the position of Job Captain in the Manhattan, NYC office.

Responsible for executing the technical design and delivery aspects of projects, you will be set to join a thriving, collaborative work culture with the opportunity to work in a hybrid office:home environment.

Job Responsibilities

* Design and develop solutions and details autonomously as well as under the direction of the Project Architect/Designer
* Produce drawings and perform tasks in support of the project team
* Assist Project Architect/Designer from design development through construction administratio
* Produce design deliverables per contract
* Anticipate potential issues and bring them to the attention of the Senior PA/AD
* Generate project elements proficiently using CAD and Revit following office standards
* Organize and present information to project team, consultant group and client
* Coordinate specifications with construction documents
* Develop filing documents and coordinate their signing and sealing
* Site visits as necessary for observation of progress and character of work
* Review shop drawings for compliance with documentation and recommend action
* Assist construction administration through project close out

Role Qualifications:

* Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution
* 5 – 10 years of professional experience in architecture and design
* A stellar track record of Corporate Workplace and Office interiors
* Proficient knowledge of Revit
* Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and/or other design software
* Knowledge and application of relevant codes and standards
