Established over two decades ago, the studio are committed to achieving the best design solutions possible for their extensive client list. Job Overview:
This role requires a confident individual with excellent client facing and presentation skills, capable of leading projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end residential design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to inspire and mentor junior designers.

Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver strong pitches and presentations with confidence and excellent public speaking skills.
– Act as Project Leader on a portfolio of smaller-scale projects, fully developing designs, managing the team, and overseeing projects to completion.
– Inspire new ideas and help source furniture and art, bringing original, fresh thoughts to the studio.
– Attend regular internal design team meetings and assist designers on both the conceptual and technical sides of design presentations.
– Monitor project programs, ensuring deadlines are met and any changes impacting project financials are communicated to the Operations Director.
– Establish detailed project timelines with internal milestones, leading kick-off meetings at each design phase and wrap-up meetings on handover.
– Review and check FF&E design, furniture plans, and pricing on major projects, ensuring they are ready for sign-off.
– Design and cost up FF&E projects in line with briefs and develop elements on large-scale projects under the guidance of a Director.
– Create and maintain thorough administrative records and ensure all project briefs are met.
– Develop project knowledge, attend trade fairs, and meet with suppliers to stay updated on industry trends.
– File weekly project reports and monitor weekly team timesheets to ensure alignment with budgets and hour allocations.

Qualities sought:
– Ability to provide guidance on projects and act as a Line Manager when appropriate.
– Approachable and professional manner with clients and suppliers, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
– Confident in acting as Project Leader on small-scale projects with minimal direction.
– Excellent attitude, appreciation for the company’s ethos, and ability to operate with little support.

Required Skills and Knowledge:
– 5-6 years of professional design experience, preferably in high-end residential projects.
– Proven track record of designing and managing large-scale projects with minimal direction.
– Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
– Experience with high-end residential FF&E procurement processes and technical design.
– Strong financial understanding of project costs and budget management.
– Ability to interface with clients, interpreting and delivering their requirements.
– Relevant Interior Design Qualification.
