Interior Design Project Coordinator

Leading Manhattan interior design firm are seeking a Project Coordinator to join their Design Studio.

Working closely with the design team and under the direction of Senior Designers, the successful candidate will provide day to day administrative and procurement assistance to ensure the successful delivery of many high end residential interiors.

Responsibilities will include:

* Prepare and send purchase orders to suppliers and post purchase invoices
* Liaising where necessary with suppliers, freight forwarders and shipping lines via email and/or telephone
* Organizing packing, crating, pick-ups, shipments and deliveries of orders globally
* Compiling and filing relevant documentation
* Tracking orders and entering order information onto database
* Maintain timesheet and reimbursable sheet to reflect appropriate office and/or project-related hours
* Schedule as-needed travel arrangements
* Assist where necessary with design research and sourcing
* Organize all receipts, forms of payment and items recently purchased
* General administrative duties

Job Requirements:

* Strong interest in high end design/ Interior Design
* Computer literate with good experience of Microsoft Office
* Must be able to communicate accurately and concisely, whilst having strong analytical, planning, co-ordination and effective time management skills
* Ability to prioritize, learn quickly and develop in a fast moving, pressurized environment
* Ensure standard operating procedures are executed and policies are followed
* A great attitude
* Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, initiative, attention to detail, great work ethic, and most importantly, a positive, solution-oriented attitude. They will be presentable and able to professionally communicate effectively via phone, email, and in person.
